By accessing and using Pfynn ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pfynn. Please also review our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect and use your information.

2. Description of Service

Pfynn is a personal finance management application that helps users:

• Track key financial obligations
• Monitor bank account balances
• Review credit card statements
• Conduct weekly financial reviews
• Share financial information with household partners

Important: Pfynn is a tool for personal financial management only. It is not financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. We do not provide recommendations about specific financial decisions.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must sign in using Google OAuth
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• One account per person
• You may not share your account with others

Account Security

• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Misuse the service in any way

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate financial information
• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not attempt to access other users' data
• Not reverse engineer or attempt to hack the App

• You can delete your account and all data at any time

6. Third-Party Services

Plaid

We use Plaid to connect to your bank accounts. Plaid's terms and privacy policy apply. We do not store your bank login credentials. Bank connection issues are handled by Plaid.

Supabase

We use Supabase for data storage and authentication. Supabase's terms and privacy policy apply. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Google OAuth

We use Google for authentication. Google's terms and privacy policy apply. We receive limited profile information (name, email).

Third-Party Liability

We are not responsible for third-party service failures. We are not liable for third-party service downtime. Third-party terms are between you and them.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

• The App, its design, and all content are owned by Pfynn
• Pfynn name, logo, and trademarks are protected
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content
• You may not use our branding without permission

Your Rights

• You retain all rights to your financial data
• You grant us a limited license to process your data to provide the service
• This license ends when you delete your account

8. Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We do not guarantee accuracy of calculations
• We do not guarantee availability

No Financial Advice

• We are not financial advisors
• We do not provide investment advice
• We are not responsible for financial decisions you make

Maximum Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the App.

We are not liable for:

• Loss of data (though we take backups)
• Lost profits or business opportunities
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Third-party service failures

• Pfynn is not a bank
• Your data is not FDIC insured
• We do not hold your money
• We are a financial management tool only

No Guarantee of Results

• We cannot guarantee financial outcomes
• Past performance does not predict future results
• Your financial situation depends on many factors
• We provide tools, not guarantees

Tax and Legal Compliance

• You are responsible for tax reporting
• You are responsible for legal compliance

12. Termination

• You can delete your account anytime from Settings
• All your data stored in Supabase is deleted immediately
• We do not retain any data after account deletion
• You can export your data before deletion
• Deletion is permanent and irreversible

Our Right to Terminate

We can terminate your account if you:

• Violate these terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the service
• Fail to pay (if/when applicable)

Effect of Termination

• You lose access to the App immediately
• All your data stored in Supabase is deleted immediately—we do not retain any data
• Sections of these terms that should survive will survive

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

• First, contact us to resolve disputes informally
• If unresolved, disputes will be handled in California courts
• You agree to California jurisdiction and venue
• Class action waiver (you can only sue individually)

Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability. If these laws apply to you, some limitations may not apply.
